Can Jamaicans Claim their Environmental Rights?

I was really shocked at the disregard for environmental rights by the multimillion dollars Bauxite mining sector and other key stakeholders in Jamaica. Where is our sensitivity for poor peoples’ needs and challenges, especially those that we have directly contributed to? We promote Jamaica as heaven for tourists–the place of sun, sea and sand, but many times over we are awakened by the fact that it is hell for ordinary Jamaican people.
