Jamaica has a breathtaking environment. I am absolutely awed whenever I drive through this country to each of my workshops. Most times, I don’t have the luxury of capturing the scenes, because I ‘m too busy rushing to get to the communities on time or my camera just does n’t have the capacity to show the beauty that the human lens records. I find it very funny that the most beautiful places to me are many times living hells for the residents. The beauty that I see has become mundane to them–the poorly maintained roads, lack of water, poor transportation services, and limited access to social services are constant reminders of hardship and drudgery. The dark clouds are frequently masked, and we are exposed merely to what is easy to see. Check out my photo slides…

Yallahs gets new bridge, a welcome relief for those of us who are tired of the long alternate route, disturbed by the many lives and property lost, or simply frustrated with the inconvenience of moving at snails pace through a bumpy river bed.
